I ain’t no city boy

After spending a few days in New York City,  I can see why people like to live in Brooklyn. Relative to Manhattan, Brooklyn is affordable.  There are a lot of parks and places to hang out.  People are actually friendly.  And if you want to see New York City you can go to the waterfront and casually view it from afar

Brooklyn is a suburb of Manhattan just on the other side of the East River.  It is filled with tree lined streets and cute but very expensive brown stone and Victorian homes.  I would not describe Brooklyn as casual, but it is more laid back that NYC.  

Neither are the place for me.  This mountain man enjoys the towering pines and fresh air.  I ain’t no city boy.

Riding the Wrong Train

  Sometimes we get on the wrong train. We can go for  miles before we notice we are on different path.  Then we realize we’re not going to the place we expected. We feel lost, we are aimlessly going the wrong direction. At some point in our lives.  We can end up in a place we never expected.  It’s what we do about it that makes a difference. Life is much like riding a train. We have a destination in mind and a plan to get there. But sometimes, somehow we get on the wrong path. Maybe we just are not paying attention. Are in a hurry. Or we got distracted by something less important. Or Shit Happens. It’s okay to be on the wrong path. It’s more important to recognize we are not going the direction we wanted to go.  So we have three choices.  Stay on the train and ride it out to see where it takes us.
